About Laura Meyers Photography

Laura Meyers has been creating artwork for over 30 years. Over the last five years, I have been forcusing my attention on digital nature photography. I have always felt comfortable using electronic technology and have been utilizing computers and digital equipment as tools to create artwork for many years.

When higher end digital photography equipment finally became accessible, I was so ready to avail myself of the potential it holds. My inherent interest in nature, science and art propels me to explore the natural world to try to discover and uncover the beauty and sophisitication that abounds on our amazing planet

Being able to view the extraordinary details of the fauna and flora that I can capture  digitally and study on my computer monitor is for me a supreme sublime experience and a constant marvel. I feel honored and so lucky to be able to get a glimpse into our universe in this manner.

Being able travel in nature and come upon a subject that is willing to suspend a moment and allow me photograph it feels like such a gift. I try to learn as much as I  can about my various subjects in order to fully appreciate and respect them.

Finally I am attempting to share this experience with viewers in a hope that they too will hold precious this fragile world we live in.
